It like ages for this day to arrive, is our 1st wedding anniversary! Time go by so fast that it just like we get married yesterday and now our marriage is already one year old. We had decided to have a feast in ‘’A Wet’’ to celebrate our special day. The name sound very odd right? Tried Google translate also can’t find the meaning of “A Wet”… Anyone good in Thai please let me know what do ‘’A Wet” mean for.
‘’A Wet’’ is a restaurant which serve Thai style foods. Actually the restaurant is not very far from our house. Every time we pass by Julie will say that we shall have a try on this restaurant. Its also has been featured in the book ‘’The Popular Food Guide 3 Malaysia”.
We arrived at ‘A Wet” around 6.30pm. Better go there early since it is away full-house during the weekend. Together with us is mom-in law. As usually each person needs to choose one dish. I have chosen Thai Combo Set, Thai style deep fried fish from Julie and fried prawn with petai from Mom. Of cause we also ordered the signature Tom Yam. Julie like the fried fish very much, it is very crunchy and I can hear the ‘crak~~ crak~~’ sound coming from her when she is eating the fried fish. How about the Tom Yam? Mom almost finishes the Tom Yam by her own! Maybe it has been a long while for mom to have a Thai food.
We have a great time at A Wet. It is very suitable for us to have our 1st anniversary in a Thai restaurant. The foods are truly reflect what we have been through over this year, sweet and spicy!. Lots of things happen, good, no so good, bad, no so bad, very bad and worst. We promise to each other that on this 2nd year we will have our celebration in a cake house, only sweet memory for 2nd year!!
